things i find interesting:

• i like the sound representation of rainbow

  • project idea:

    • how does a dog see the rainbow? blue - green - a little bit of yellow, dog is not impressed by the rainbow
    • how does people with eye problem (eye floaters, color blind) see the world? - raise awareness of people with eye problems

• butterfly sees more things than we do, they see colors we have no name for. but their brain is tiny, so they probably can’t process the info they received. but they don’t stare at a beautiful sunset, because color is more of a signal for them to eat/hunt/sex.

• a lot of pink in blue - so much red, didn’t see green - “my sky is boring”

• greek text strange uses of colors, homo is color blind, all the greeks were color blind ??? black and white with a touch of red.

• all the languages develop black/white - red - green - yellow -…- blue is the last

  • blue is rare in nature, not even many flower is blue
  • Egyptians have their own word for blue the earliest

things I find interesting:

• Color is way too subjective and dynamic to allow for so simple definitions.
• RGB is a color mode hard to move around and adjust color, HSB is easier.
• Analogous color schemes (HSB 30 degrees away from each other) are found in nature and are often very harmonious to the eye.
• contrast of hue - extremely expressive
