Over the years the use of CGI has evolved enormously in terms of technology but not so much aesthetically. The tools dominate the look and feel of the imagery they are used to create and it is very difficult for an artist, designer, or architect to transcend the dominant style. In a way, the software is the voice behind the imagery.
